GMO foods, or genetically modified organisms, are products that have been altered through genetic engineering, changing the DNA. The health implications of consuming GMO foods has the potential to affect your health long term. Identifying GMO foods can be done by looking for labels that indicate whether a product contains genetically modified ingredients, or by researching brands that prioritize non-GMO options.

Every living thing on Earth is made up of cells. Cells use the information stored in genetic material to perform functions essential to the creature's life cycle.
